The former Claremont Library materials are now located at the University of Leeds Brotherton Library, some of the more popular items are relocated at the Leeds City Central Library.
The YAHS's Archived Collections formerly at Claremont are now located at the University of Leeds Library's Special Collections (in the Brotherton Library).

The Section has been contacted by an English genealogist based in France who can trace your French connections, perhaps a family member who stayed there after the World Wars.

The Section is actively looking at circulating the Section's magazine, The Yorkshire Family Historian in electronic format to those members willing to co-operate in this modern method of distribution. The Yorkshire Roots website is being slowly upgraded, this
is work in progress at this time. We hope to have a new website up
